Also, the Hylian Shield is apparently not totally invincible. So technically, its possible to pull the Master Sword without spending a single Spirit Orb on Hearts. I believe it goes from 13 hearts if you have no memories, to 7 if you have them all. In the end it just feels like someone tried to do something very deep and intelligent without actually using their brain. Also, collecting Memories will reduce the number of hearts required. The young actress first gives me great hope, then she's replaced, Willem Dafoe's narrator is superfluous at best and Jude Law was wasted on his role. Unfortunately, that's the only good (and short) part of the film. The thing is, Natalie Portman is fantastic! She portrays her character perfectly. Not because of her, but because of the awful music. And the ending? Having to watch Portman sing several pop songs was painful. But no, the occasional emotional moments are blown apart by the unnecessary and overly cerebral narration, the plot goes all over the place, the split in four acts only shows how pretentious the whole thing is while it is basically saying nothing. When I heard about the basic plot of the film, I thought it would be the counterpart for A Star is Born and therefore I was expecting quite a different story. The subject is intriguing: an exploration of the current age, focused on artificial fame and mass shootings.
